Animal attraction raises drug curiosity Dear Hilary, Regarding the BBC article in your last mailout (“Man held over bestiality claims”) the article explains that the infamous sheep sh**ger (alleged) was also held on suspicion of drugs possession with intent to supply. Is there any evidence that the man’s customers were the sheep? If charged, does sex with a farm-based animal, whilst administering recreational drugs to the beast, carry a less or greater punishment? Also I believe that the gentleman's fundamental flaw was his choice of attire whilst leaving his residence to commit his crimes. In a Crime Watch-style reconstruction, I see the chap disrobing to allow him to "run" away due to the restriction of his chosen jogging bottoms. The definition of jogging is running slower than 6mph (10 minute per mile pace, 10 km/h, 6 min/km) which is obviously too slow when exiting the scene of a animal-sex crime. Without wanting to endorse his activities can I suggest in future that he chooses a pair of lycra style bicycle shorts. The silky material chaffing against his inner thigh would aid him, whilst gently strolling to meet his victim, in his initial rise to the occasion coupled with the fact, that upon completion of his task, the flexibility in the material would increase the possible speed of escape. Furthermore the use of the correct attire would raise less suspicion from potential witnesses. Well, certainly less than a semi naked man pelting around in the dark, which would definitely raise an eye brow in my neighbourhood Regards, David, aged 30, Birmingham Another dog looks “a bit like Linford” Dear Hilary, I enjoyed your moving tribute to your dog Linford on ILovedMyPet.com. I was touched by the picture which you had uploaded to the tribute, which was of a dog that looked a bit like Linford. Imagine my shock and delight when I found this picture on the internet which also looks a bit like Linford. I hope it gives you some comfort, some six years after your dog’s sad demise. Kindest regards and sympathies, Ethel, aged 73, Hemel Hempstead
